So .. here you go.

Here is what has kept me away from Live Salty for so long.  It's an online magazine + a social networking site (think all the good stuff from myspace, facebook, virb and craigslist) all wrapped up into one.  We go live (beta) on Monday morning but I wanted to give you (my friends) the opportunity to jump on board and join early.  I think it would be awesome if all of you (even you lurkers) signed up for a community page and added images, video and blogs.

One of the coolest features of the site is called video response.  If someone leaves you a message or comment and you have an a community page you can reply with a live video or audio message.  This will be great for grandmoms and people in far off lands.

Anyway, please check it out and tell me what you think.

P.S. the viewing experience is far more favorable if you use firefox and not internet explorer.  O.k. enough typing ...

For those of you who have stuck by me here on the blog, I salute you!  There is no way I could look at so many photo's of someone elses kid.  As a matter of fact I can hardly stand it!

That being said, come Friday you will be happy you stuck by the salty dog.  You will be rewarded handsomely with insider information on a web 2.0 project my company (freshINK) has been working on for about a year.

Everyone else finds out June 2nd, but you guys will get a heads up.

HELP!

I am trying to broadcast our meeting tonight live via Mogulus but for some reason when I am in the "Live" studio my camera on my macbook pro is not coming up.  I can hear the audio but the video is not coming up.  I have ...

1. Checked the appropriate settings with adobe flash 9
2. Restarted the computer.
3. Re-launched mogulus a handful of times

and nothing ... no video whatsoever and my camera is working in other applications just fine.

ANY help would be appreciated, I have 2 hours to figure this out.

My anticipation level is always at defcon 4 right before a MacWorld keynote speech.  Why?  Because I am a massive nerd, yes, but also because I know that Jobs is revolutionizing the way we are entertained.  If you missed my twitters here is a recap.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS:

#1 - Time Capsul - This is a Full Airport Extreme base station with "server grade" hard drive internal.  This will make it wireless for Macbook users to back up all of their data without plugging in.

#2 - New iPhone applications - Features incluce: Maps with location, Webclips, Customize home screen, SMS multiple people and Lyrics.

iPod touch gets some new stuff as well, inclucding: Mail, Stocks, Notes, Weather and maps.

#3 - iTunes now has rental movies.  You can rent and watch any movie from any big studio on any of your video enabled Apple products.  You will have 30 days to start watching the film and 24 hours to watch it once you have started it.  Library movies (older flicks) are $2.99, new releases are $3.99 and HD films are $4.99.

#4 - Apple TV Take 2.  No computer required.  Rent movies on Apple TV.  DVD quality AND HD + Dolby 5.1.

#5 - Mac Book Air - "The worlds thinnest notebook", a new kind of computer.

The Bottom Line is my business partner, Chris Merriam, is SICK!  One of our clients came to us awhile back and asked us to build them a website for one of their products called Lemi Shine.  We already redesigned the label so building the website was a natural progression.
